Cheeseburgers and Trash TV

Saturday, June 2, 2012

Today was dress rehearsal for my dance company's spring show tomorrow. I teach the youngest kids (Creative Movement) and they are being bunnies in a fun show called "Once Upon a Farm." There are 18 of them. I don't know if you've ever corralled 18 3- and 4-year-olds dressed as bunnies to dance on a stage, but I'd certainly recommend giving it a try. It looks a little something like this:

Post-dress rehearsal I guilted myself into doing Week 6, Day 3 of Couch to 5k, which I am still rocking. Post-Couch to 5k I promptly purchased myself a cheeseburger, fries and a Coke because God forbid I receive lasting health benefit from any physical activity I attempt. Just in case I hadn't used up all the calories I burned, I helped myself to two Little Debbies and washed them down with a handful of gummi worms. Shew. Here's hoping I never lose a pound due to running.

I discovered today that a good way to measure time is by amount of Lifetime movies one watches in a day. Every movie is exactly 2 hours, it's now 10:12 p.m., which means I've had this channel on... SINCE 4 p.m.?!? Heavens to Betsy. Hopefully the Nielsen rating people don't call to make sure I'm not dead and just happened to die with this channel on.
